Mathibila underwent brain surgery in October last year to fix a blood clot in his brain. Instead, his neurosurgeon - Dr Tristram Horton - cut off the blood supply to part of his brain. Mathabile woke up paralysed. #CarteBlanche @govanwhittles

This is a sad story. Hopefully HPCSA will expedite their processes to protect patients from this neurosurgeon.

UPDATE: Late on Friday, the Arizona Medical Board in the United States confirmed that neurosurgeon Tristram Horton’s license was never reinstated, contradicting the statement that Horton had sent to us. Just this past week, we were approached by more people with allegations as disturbing as the ones you’ve just seen. We’ll continue our investigation and keep you updated. #CarteBlanche
