@2ndhandcultures That’s a lovely idea. Sorry to hear about your dad. I am currently using my partners old checked shirts to make a quilt and would also recommend that as a good use for sentimental fabrics! :)

@Tash_Nicholls I like the idea of doing this using old fabric that holds meaning - for example, making the cushion out of my dear departed dad’s old jumper and then embroidering 💙

Twitter is very heavy sometimes- instead I am going to share images of the craft projects keeping me sane alongside my PhD! As a wedding gift for a close friend/summer project, I made a simple cushion and hand embroidered flowers from her garden. Slow stitching is joyful!
