If people want to understand better why the Plan 2 student loans scandal is hitting the news hard at the minute. Please look below. I owe more now than I did 10 years ago despite having paid nearly £20k in student loans payments over the past 10 years. It’s a national disgrace!

@nickprocter27 Interest rate was 0.9% when I took the loan and shot up to 6.8% after Covid 🤮 appears to be back down at 3.2% so maybe I’ll finally make a dent in it!!

@nickprocter27 I was fortunate to be in the last year of plan 1 but similar situation. It’ll be paid without getting close to clearing. Starting balance of £20,971 now owe £20822 🤣 11 years of paying it (first year mat leave). Pay almost £200 per month now 😫Roll on 2040 when it is wiped 🤣
