An "11-year-old" Muslim girl with her family walked over to me in Times Square and told me to kill myself because I’m a Jew. I am not making this up. You must watch this. They then had their small child kick me to humiliate me whole their daughter continued to say that I should kill myself. Identify who these people are. Also, other passersby yelled at me that she’s white, and I should kill myself as a Jew. All of this happened right in the middle of New York City the night before Christmas. An Arabic "news site" just published a defaming "scoop" about me, claiming that: 1) I am "getting paid by Zionist organizations" – False 2) The owner of the newspaper I work in is a "Zionist Jew" – Also False. I haven't gotten paid a single penny by any "Zionist organization." Every post and word I have ever posted has come from the heart. I know it's hard for many Arabs to believe this. Second thing, the owner of the newspaper I work in is Kurdish, not Jewish. I do have incredible Jewish co-workers and friends – who are kind, loving, and incredible human beings. They're not "paying me" to post my opinions. (I actually CANNOT BELIEVE I just had to write that sentence). A big part of my "activism" for Israel and Jews is because I have come to know many Swedish Jews, and they are amazing human beings. I have written extensively about how my encounter with Jews, the first time being when I moved to Sweden. Meeting and getting to know Jews helped me cleanse myself from the disgusting anti-Semitism that Yemenis pushed down my throat when I was a child. Visiting Israel last month just added more layers to my understanding and humanization of Israeli Jews. You think I am ashamed of knowing Jews? You anti-semitic, homophobic nutjobs are the main reason I openly speak TO and ABOUT the regressive Islamic community. It's very on-brand for an Arabic "news site" to try to defame someone by running a made-up story with no sources to back up their claims. Arab "journalists" will publish the most unhinged anti-semitic bullshit without any sources, and their readers will swallow it just like they swallow their local Hamas propaganda. Anyway, I know many of you will tell me to ignore these idiots, but my mother always taught me to stand up for myself and debunk lies written and spread about me. So I will make sure I try dismantle their lies as much as I can.
