@by__brittany We are right now, LPC has 171 seats out of 340.
Tomorrow, it will most likely be LPC 174 out of 343.
It is a Westminster Parliamentary democracy in action. We vote for the person, not a party list.

@StephenPunwasi @lyndon9018 Reason again if you are young you need to leave ASAP - anything you accumulate here will be used as leverage over you.
English

@Tattersail67 @lyndon9018 Would be a withholding tax on selling your home or your portfolio.
Recent example: Friend was temporarily transferred for work, and sold his home. CRA now argues he owes full capital gains because the deal closed after he left, making it an investment property.
English

🇨🇦: Tech exec at LPC convention pitches a $500k exit tax to work abroad.
Elites who built their careers abroad want to lock you into a predatory system they’re creating.
Plan B isn’t an option. It’s your insurance against a Soviet-style lock in.
Ryan Gerritsen🇨🇦🇳🇱@ryangerritsen
The Liberal party has Patrick Pichette a former Senior VP of Google on stage who lives in Europe by the way, say that if Canadians want to leave Canada to work in the US they need to pay an exit tax of half a million dollars. The guy did the very thing to get a Microsoft job decades ago and paid 30 bucks. Now he wants young Canadians to be trapped here. The Liberals are nuts.
English

@StephenPunwasi @lyndon9018 Not sure how enforceable this really is - I guess they could garnish CPP and OAS payments - another reason for young people to leave as fast as possible - before you know it your best years are behind you and they will use programs like this as leashes.
English

@lyndon9018 Part of the increased CRA powers Canada slipped into the budget is to help enforce the existing departure taxes.
Leaving the country is a deemed disposition, so taxes are due on all your assets as though you sold & made a profit, even if you didn’t.
English

@alanfryermedia The guy got a 16 year run, everyone wears their welcome out eventually - it's how people like Rachel Notley get elected - they don't last long.
English

@FraserNelson "Downfall" = 16 years in office = get a clue.
Sorry but the article is just garbage.
Do better.
English

Viktor Orban has just lost - by a landslide.
His "illiberal democracy" was meant to be the future of conservatism. It instead offered a case study in what happens when power, money and media are fused together.
My column on lessons of his downfall: times-comment.com/orban1
English

@alanfryermedia Worst part is we get left with industrialized Canadian swill - someone gave a bottle of buttertart - couldn't possibly dissolve more sugar in a liquid - gross as fuck
English

@huldastarrs @FringedCanuck @DisrespectedThe I remember getting them out of a machine for 2 bucks in the lobby of restaurants
English

@FringedCanuck @DisrespectedThe I dont smoke anymore but they were 57 cents when I started!
English

A pack of cigarettes in Minnesota are nearly $15. Thats tax theft.
I know, a lot of people say "quit smoking."
Imagine if they charged this amount of tax on your McDonald's cheeseburgers. You fat bastards would be having a freaking coronary.
Don't throw stones at glass houses.
You don't have to agree with my lifestyle but you don't have to bankrupt me to prove it.
English

@Tablesalt13 There is no chance I would stay here if I was young - put politics aside and the reality looks like a country with collapsing demographics - you only lose and it only gets worse
English

@wealthmoose @MarkJCarney You mean the guy that is a couple days away from taking absolute authority over the country illegitimately and gave a speech telling us how we need to "Serve"
Way past the whole trust thing and more about how I don't boil with the rest of the frogs
English

@Tablesalt13 Just get one and it's only $50 - save $20 bucks right there!
English

@alanfryermedia Al if you were looking for it you can watch the entire carney speech here - youtu.be/k_zTQd9jiAo?si…

When Liberals say things like, “this is not the time for politics as usual” they mean this is not the time to oppose us, and certainly not the time to hold us accountable for the stuff we said we’d do but haven’t.
Anita Anand@AnitaAnandMP
“This is not the time for politics as usual. United, we build Canada Strong for all.”
English

@MichelleLA1981 If you are under 30 in Canada you have to go and you need to go NOW.
Don't end up in position where your best years are gone and things like CPP and OAS benefits become leashes to control you with.
English

@JasminLaine_ You have to take off your "I hate Liberal Hat" and listen to his speech again.
English

@UnitedCanucks26 I block and avoid any and all media financed by the government.
It's literally the definition of propaganda and in Canada the MSN certainly lives up to the reputation.
English

@_Arctic_Circle_ @JasminLaine_ Were you were the kid with the ghetto blaster that thought everyone loves Megadeth?
English

@Tattersail67 @JasminLaine_ A fringe. Majority of Canadians support this government.
English

@6ixbuzztv Not enforceable - California already mandated this - Linux Distro's aren't playing ball - see Ageless Linux etc.
Obvious agenda here isn't identifying kids - it's identifying you.
English

Would Canadians want to provide their ID to social media platforms to prove they’re older than 16, if social media were to be banned for Canadians under 16?

6ixBuzzTV@6ixbuzztv
#BREAKING: Federal Liberals agree to ban social media accounts for Canadians under 16
English

@DavidRu54517622 @junonewscom It was sarcasm, admittedly not very good.
Be safe!
English

@Tattersail67 @junonewscom "How long have you worked for Fox News?" Tattersall, you lost me.
