As a native title scholar, it’s not often you get to write positively about native title rights. But this, THIS one is worth writing about. The redistribution of wealth is one of the highest forms of justice. A monumental victory! ✊🏾

Labor continues to pay lip service to caring about women and the millions of Australians across the country trying to survive on Jobseeker poverty-payments.
They're so desperate to get a budget surplus that they're prepared to throw people to the wolves. #insiders #RaiseTheRate

@Jerry_Cocksnot Then you probably should broaden your own horizons.

@JamesPa64959390 In the midst of this young adult’s terrific celebration, his juvenile history was brought up and was done so unannounced. He wasn’t on trial. He wasn’t in court. He hadn’t committed any further offences. He was on the show specifically to speak on fishing. It’s not the forum for it
English

@Taylahmgray Why so triggered? If he is paying it back then my point is proven. He has done the right thing. I’m sure if the rolls were reversed you would be saying exactly the same thing. It has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do making good on a crime. U made it about race.
English

@JamesPa64959390 Mate, put a sock in it. It’s well underway so now you don’t have to lose any sleep at night.

English

@Taylahmgray Not really. After all it would be the best thing to do for a young offender. To truly show how sorry he is for costing that family business money for stealing off them. If it was the other way around I’m sure you would expect the same. As I would also.
English

@Taylahmgray Well my only morally thing I hope for today is the little aboriginal criminal who cost a family business money now pays back that money after he was made an instant millionaire. That will go along way to healing the trauma he caused. Imagine what a good news story that would be.

@BernieM59137908 Doesn’t he have two jobs? What’s problematic about winning a prize during recreational fishing?
English

@Taylahmgray Are these young men just taught to be takers? It is a valuable lesson in life that it feels better to give than receive. Before he blows the million perhaps he could fix up his mistakes.
English

@LouisaWFerguson Assumptions are certainly a subjective factor, and I’m explicitly stating that your ethnicity wasn’t an aspect I turned my mind to. Just take a breath and relax, Louisa - I’m not out to get you, I don’t even know who you are mate 😂
English

@Taylahmgray Oh you absolutely assumed, and you are going to try to back pedal now. Being indigenous is absolutely NO EXCUSE for commit crimes like stealing and wrecking vehicles.
English

@LouisaWFerguson At no point was your ethnicity assumed in my initial comment.
English

@Taylahmgray Guess what? you just assumed my ethnicity and got it wrong.
English

@LouisaWFerguson Louisa, come on now. Judging from your bio, I don’t think you’ve even come here this afternoon with an open mind. Don’t waste my (and even your) time.
English

@Taylahmgray Stealing and trashing vehicles isn't a normal part of growing up and people like you are trying to make it out to be just some cheeky shenanigans. White kids have been called out in the media before too like that cory worthington years ago.
