Very encouraging to hear that Tokyo Olympian @TaylorLC1996 beset by injury in the last few years, threw the Hammer 71.77m today -his best since July 2021. If any athlete deserves some good fortune he does.

You’re right (to some extent), javelin is struggling. But we have all these incredible javelin throwers from 70s - 2000s… how many of them are giving back to the sport now? How many of them are creating a culture of learning and development for new throwers? Absolutely none!

Hello ALL British athletics javelin throwers. Watching the Euro champs NO sign of YOU Very disappointing. In the 70s/80s we were BIG TIME CG golds European and Olympic Gold, silver &bronze to be proud of..WE need 2 get this sorted NOW. UR OFF THE RADAR. WHY?

English schools now require events to raise money to be able to hold their events. Hammer throw is an event still in need of funding. I remember aspiring to compete here when i was a 13 year old 32m thrower! Lets not let the next generation go without!
