Loved being back casual teaching this week! Yesterday I was with Year 6 learning about Cartesian planes, so we played a game of Battleships afterwards to apply their knowledge, they loved it! #acuedu_p

How blessed I am to have had these wonderful women to challenge, support, encourage and inspire me through the four years of our degree! It’s sad to think that our ACU journey is almost over, but extremely exciting that our teaching careers are just beginning ✨👩🏻‍🏫 #acuedu_p

Drawing is a truly powerful learning tool, involving visual, kinesthetic, and linguistic areas of the brain all at the same time. 🧠

I’m truly going to miss my Kindy class and supervising teachers! They have been an absolute pleasure and have taught me more than I ever could have imagined! Today’s highlight was when three of them prayed for me at the end of the day! #acuedu_p

The Ss were so proud of their creation in such a short amount of time. Still some tweaking to be made as the machine has to fulfil the functions of pushing and pulling something, seesaw, swinging and lifting something. Can’t wait to see the progress in tomorrow’s lesson #acuedu_p

Here are some of the sharing lessons we’ve done as a part of my Maths unit for the GTPA; I’m do excited to see the results of their summative assessment tomorrow and see how far they have come in their understanding! #acuedu_p

I’ve taken this idea from my last prac and adapted it for my current class; it is a great reminder, and Ss love their personalised “super smiley evaluation cards” that they fill out with each piece of writing! #acuedu_p

Year 2 art unit is based around sculptures. This week we studied Andy Goldsworthy and created nature sculptures. Great creations made. Thanks @TaylorPhillpott for the twitter post idea. #acuedu_p

Our ‘waterproof materials’ experiment last week resulted in this design and make task! I asked Ss to create homes for LEGO people that would withstand the rain! Im so proud of their efforts #acuedu_p

Kindy were learning how to use Beebots, so I sent them off to create their own challenge... as you can see it very quickly became a game of attacking Miss Phillpott with Beebots 😂 #acuedu_p

In Kindy we had a look at Andy Goldsworthy’s artworks in nature and tried to create our own! See if you can guess what animals they have made using natural materials... 🦋 🦒 🦉🦔 #acuedu_p

4A love using RUCSAC for problem solving in mathematics. This terminology is easily understood by students! Students enjoy using this and have their own scaffold to plan out each step to ensure they are providing the correct information! #acuedu_p

Today I took Kindy to the sandpit to practice their ‘Z’ letter formation with these sight word cards I made. They all loved it, especially when trading with their friends for new words! #acuedu_p

On the way to Featherdale Wildlife Park with my Kindergarten prac class and I have never heard so many excited screams for a bus ride #acuedu_p
