Happy Anniversary to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, released in the U.S. for SNES on April 13, 1992! 🎉❤️ It was initially released in Japan on November 21, 1991.
Nintendo Power’s 100th issue named ALttP the second greatest game of all time, and the title frequently and deservedly appears on similar lists to this day. ALttP expanded the mythos of Hyrule in an incredible way. I loved the lore-rich journey to rescue the descendants of the Seven Sages and defeat Ganon, along with the innovative transition between the Light and Dark Worlds.
One fun but unconfirmed mystery is the rationale for Link’s pink hair. It is unusual that Link’s hair appears dark blonde or light brown in the game manual, but pink in the sprite. There are several theories for why Link had pink hair in ALttP.
Some also theorize the pink hair was a design choice meant to help the sprite stand out, creating contrast on CRT displays and preventing it from blending into the environment. In 2006, a Zelda Universe poster (Snarwin) offered another theory that the pink hair resulted from Link’s bunny transformation in the Dark World, which in turn limited the available 16-bit color palette.
Interestingly, there is an issue of Monthly Shōnen Captain from May 18, 1986, where a pink-haired female character resembling Link appears alongside a guide to the early sections of the original game. It is believed this was discovered by Melora of History of Hyrule and kazzykazycom several years ago. One theory is that this character is cosplaying Link. The article appeared months after the game’s release, so it is unlikely the design choice was accidental. Learning about the Monthly Shōnen art immediately made me think of ALttP, so I thought it would be fun to recreate it for this occasion 🤭
Though so many Zelda games have touched my life in their own special way, I would have to say ALttP is my favorite of them all ❤️
(Also if you’re free this weekend, I’m going to start my Zelda II stream Saturday evening! I finished Zelda 1 a few weeks ago! I’m also doing Turtles in Time Wednesday evening 😊)

This woman’s 6 year old son “expressed conservative values” in his classroom
The teacher created a certificate for him that said “Most likely to become a Dictator” and presented it to him in front of his entire class while classmates called him a “Naziphile”
The indoctrination taking place in our education system is a national emergency
What's your response to this......??👀
MAKE THIS GO VIRAL ON 𝕏. LET’S GO 👏

@Mangalawyer The more AAA crashes in the west, the more Japan will dislodge it's head from the west's ass and start acting more like Korea and China. The good times in gaming are coming back.

His name was Mikael Janicki. He was a 39-year-old Polish man living in Sweden.
He was cycling with his 12-year-old son to the swimming pool. In a pedestrian underpass, they were surrounded and verbally harassed by a group of immigrants.
Mikael turned back to confront them and protect his son. One of them, named Mohammed Khalid Mohammed Mohammed, pulled out a gun and shot him twice in the head at close range, right in front of his boy.
Mikael died shortly after.
The shooter, a repeat offender with prior convictions including attempted murder, was sentenced to 14 years in prison in March 2025.
Four others from the group were convicted of helping the killer escape and covering up evidence. Since they were minors, they received youth care, probation with community service, and youth supervision and spent not a single day in prison.
