@GHHILL1911 The only issue i had with SG1 is they just started to repeat stories, just different worlds. I did like SGU it was original, not world jumping, survival and a basic idea they built on. It was sad it ended they way it did, yet I think it was just fans burned out.

Stargate's new Chapter. I'm looking at this from 30,000 feet, because I'm not the biggest fan and never got into Stargate. Loved the movie. Fun stuff. But I might watch whatever this new series is going to be for one reason: "We're making this new Chapter for the Fans." These are guys creating a new storyline in their beloved universe for their fans, and not to push boundaries and explore identities for Modern Audiences... They're doing it for THEIR audience. See, that right there resonates with me. When you're a Writer, you need to decide on and know who you're writing for. This was the failure of Starfleet Academy. They wrote it for people who were not Star Trek Fans. They wrote it to push an Agenda instead of a Story. They wrote it for Hollywood instead of the Fans. So when this new Stargate comes out - I'm Watching it. Every. Single. Episode. Even if I'm not a Stargate Fan, I love the motivation behind it. Maybe this could convert me into fandom. I'm willing to risk that. Also... If you're about to step into an alien world and you have little idea of the threats there, be it flora or fauna or hostile forces... a P-90 would be one of my last choices ever. 5.7x28mm? I can't even.
