USA baseball needed the travel ball dad - he knows all the scenarios, has mapped them out extensively and told everyone who will listen (and those that will ignore him). Brian Simmons has been named the head football coach at Fairview. Simmons, a longtime assistant who has served as the team's defensive coordinator in recent seasons, takes over for George Redding. Redding retired last week following 19 seasons leading the program.

DEVELOPING: Former Alabama OL coach Chris Kapilovic has been hired as an offensive assistant at Auburn. Kapilovic was not retained by Alabama this offseason after spending the last two seasons in charge of the offensive line, which he referred to as the “Juice Squad”.
