Te Uru is excited to present a new film commission by London-based filmmaker and artist Ufuoma Essi, opening this Saturday 13 May. Is My Living in Vain is commissioned and produced by Gasworks in partnership with Te Uru, and Le Magasin CNAC. Special thanks to Tendai Mutambu.

Aotearoa composer Douglas Lilburn’s (1915-2001) complex relationship with artist Rita Angus was a key one in his life, their chosen art forms weaving in and out of their story.
