I was tired of the disposable black girlfriend and seeing so many stories in the YA space where black characters were always to the side or nowhere to be found. So I said I'd make something that reflected what I wanted to see. A young black girl in fantasy, and being loved.

The Three Tomes is a love letter to the 2010s YA vibes of The Vampire Diaries/ Twilight, Card Captor Sakura and Scooby Doo. Black characters and black femmes at the center in fantasy is important to me and TTT let's black characters thrive and explore new worlds.

The Three Tomes Tammy's quest for the tome spirits continues. A Queer, YA, coming-of-age story about a black magical girl witch, a mysterious foe and the two vampires after her heart. Campaign for animatic episode 2 launches in June on Kickstarter. Follow below.
