Students have been exceptionally curious about the conflict in Ukraine so I found an article for us to read that helped us understand the why. They had amazing discussion & then we wrote words of encouragement for a sunflower garden bulletin board 🌻🇺🇦

ABC Countdown G is for games! No electronics. They enjoyed each other so much!

Red Oak Nature Center came to present about animal adaptations. Owl pellets were dissected & scat was sculpted into herbivore, carnivore, and omnivore shapes (using a mush of oatmeal, cocoa, & water).

P.E. had a sub today and my kids were awesome for her. That is all.

@TeachUpD129 Any new activity sets my Ss off the walls, I thought, oh no! But they did ok! Started w 20s, but they voted for 30s after 2 rotations. No meltdowns! For the win!

A fractions scoot. There was a fraction to decipher on each desk & they had 20 seconds to write their answer before moving to the next question. Kids who first thought 20 seconds was too fast, picked up speed after about 3 rotations & even started dancing to the timer music!

Much egg-citement over the equations egg hunt today! 1/2 had an equation and they had to find the other 1/2 that had the corresponding answer 🥚 It was practice for multiplication, place value, and ways to add to 100.
