Such an honor to be a part of elementary academic UIL. My team did amazing work, and it’s a joy to collaborate with teachers and parents. It takes everyone, and it should. Thankful to celebrate the brilliance of our students!

Today, hundreds of students from across the district gather for AP Exam Prep Sessions. I’m so thankful to the teachers leading this review, the amazing staff at AHHS for serving, and the students who are doing what they can to be successful with this CCMR opportunity.

Super thankful for our science department. My kids loved having their work displayed at the district science fair! Proud of both of them, and my daughter’s work will advance to the FW Sci and History Museum!

There is power in together. Today, we saw the magic of collaboration as our amazing GT teacher, Ms. Gandara, pushed into small groups with Ms. Wright’s 4th graders—lifting thinking, building confidence, and helping students level up just in time for STAAR on Tuesday. @TeacherFlu

Today our G/T & Adv Academics team has led 3 events: AP prep session, district wide Spanish Spelling Bee & HS UIL 4A/5A academic completions. So thankful to have such a huge impact on so many kids in our community today. Super proud of my hard working team and talented students!

Also provided some brain break fun at our middle school TSI bootcamps!

Busy weekend! We had middle school academic UIL! What a blast celebrating the brilliance of these kids!

Thankful for the Region XI STEAM Carnival. We brought students from across the district to engage with and enjoy the fun of STEAM challenges. I’m thankful for my team and teachers who made it happen. The kids loved it!

Today we supported a middle school bootcamp for 8th graders to pass the TSI. We brought wide variety of activities from our Thinking Labs to give a brain break. It was a lot of fun and it was a joy playing, while thinking, with these brilliant scholars!

We had teachers and staff at Benbrook MHS, Kirkpatrick MS, McClung MS, and Stripling MS.

Even on the very last day before break, learning is still happening! Our 1 graders put their creativity and critical thinking to work as they designed their very own city with our amazing GT teacher, Ms. Gandara. We are so proud of their imagination & collaboration. @TeacherFlu

Yesterday, we had our first Saturday Whiz Quiz Invitational of the season. With around 40 schools represented with around 400 students, we had a day to remember. I’m so thankful for coaches & parents who support this near 50 year FWISD tradition. Thanks North Side HS for hosting!

Much more to come, but our G/T camp, Camp Enrich was such a huge success. More campuses, students, and parents than ever. So proud of this. And I get to consume it as a parent. My kids had a blast due to the hard work of their teachers. Feeling thankful for this community!

It’s a special week for my team & I, Camp Enrich. My location alone (of 3) has 46 different schools represented. A non stop, tremendously fun week of enrichment. So thankful to have this and to see our students make great things. Our success is found in student work.

What is critical thinking? How do we as provoke it? How can we build systems that support deep, meaningful learning? Loved tackling these questions w/ ES through HS teachers from across the district today in our Critical Thinking Cohort! Yes, we may have played with robots… haha
