I had a lot of misconceptions about MOOCs. They are more than just another way to pass on information— they are about networking, collaboration, and connection! #eci834 library.educause.edu/topics/teachin…

@myla_nicolas Great read, Myla! The essential questions posed got me thinking about my own classroom inquiry projects! It can be so hard to release control as the teacher, but some students really thrive with that kind of flexibility!

@ChrisBrennan03 Thanks! I just screen recorded and used the QuickTime player window on my Mac to record myself— no specific program!
English

@TeacherTremblay Love it!! What program did you use for your screen cast? The video quality is really clear! I like it a lot.

Well, here is my final course module and completed prototype! Check out my process and some other musings I had along the way! #eci834

@TeacherTremblay Well done Leigh. I like your format for you book clubs. I like doing them with my grade 5s too. Maybe we could connect our classes down the road on a future book club

Karen Costa's book, "99 Tips for Creating Sustainable Videos" was recommended in the webinar I watched this week. I found a YouTube playlist that shares some of these tips! Showing Your Humanity was one of my favourites! #eci834

@2Bmac4 Great tips! I think the part about avoiding sarcasm is so important. My students and I have been talking a lot about how comments/jokes come across to others in person vs in writing. Little considerations make the biggest difference!

@Jeffbarrett87 Providing tools like visual schedules & movement breaks are beneficial for all students! This article also got me thinking about how I can make adaptations that accommodate a variety of learning needs. Thanks for sharing!

@SarahBallardABC This is great information! Definitely gets me thinking about how I can improve on making my teaching more accessible... I had no idea about putting letters in italics!
English

In my class #eci834 we have been talking about accomodations. I have always been super interested in dyslexia, so I thought I would share.

@patricia_ives Thanks for sharing! I love having students teach each other new skills and/or share their knowledge with younger students!
