Looking forward to coming together with members of our community to connect and learn from each other at the Africa Regional Leadership Conference! 🌍
Teach For Sierra Leone@TeachForSalone

Day One of the Africa Region Leadership Conference in Harare, Zimbabwe The Africa Region Leadership Conference in Harare, Zimbabwe, opened with CEOs, regional leaders, funders, and strategic partners from across the continent coming together to discuss leadership, impact, and organizational growth. One of the morning’s standout sessions was a panel discussion featuring our CEO, Madam Josephine M Saidu, the CEOs of Teach For Kenya and Teach For Uganda, including the global CEO of Teach for all Wendy Kopp. The conversation focused on how organizations can communicate impact effectively and engage stakeholders around a shared vision for change. Drawing on Teach For Sierra Leone’s experience, the CEO emphasized the importance of clearly articulating the organization’s Theory of Change to build trust and attract investment. She explained that partners are more likely to invest when they understand how interventions drive measurable, lasting outcomes for children, schools, and communities. She also shared how Teach For Sierra Leone stays relevant in a rapidly evolving education landscape by responding to community needs while remaining firmly committed to its mission of ensuring every child has access to quality education. Through continuous learning, evidence-based decisions, and strong community engagement, the organization continues to adapt and innovate without losing sight of its purpose. Madam Josephine, further explained how TFSL aligns partners with its Theory of Change and mission by building relationships rooted in shared values, mutual accountability, and a commitment to educational equity. By pairing data with compelling impact stories and transparent reporting, the organization has strengthened trust and expanded its network of supporters. Reflecting on the organization’s achievements, she highlighted results that showcase the impact of Teach For Sierra Leone’s work in underserved communities. She noted that these successes stem from strong partnerships, committed leadership, and a sustained focus on long-term systems change. The session delivered practical insights on stakeholder engagement, impact communication, and partnership development, setting a strong and inspiring tone for the rest of the conference.
