At best he’s a great RW in a front 3 who tracks up and down. Or a wide midfielder in a 4.
At worst a very good RB.
But a midfielder in a 3, he is not. Way too rigid and not intricate enough.

Could Mourinho use a 4-2-3-1 system with Bellingham as an AM playing behind Mbappé? It wouldn't solve the Vinicius-Mbappé problem, but Bellingham would certainly be better there. Arda could play on the RW ala Özil, but the Valverde-Tchouameni double pivot is far from ideal.

I'd expect Mourinho to fix most of the culture problems that have been plaguing Real Madrid for the last couple of years, but the club would be naive to ignore that there are several issues hurting the actual team on the field. Mainly, how the stars fit alongside each other.
