Things we've established this week: (most already common knowledge) Police: When it comes to football are vermin, evidence of this on countless occasions. Dundee United Buses getting raided with no permission from fans is this week's stint. No explanation as per usual, never get any statement from them. Away Teams at Celtic Park: Falkirk Going to Celtic Park and setting a real tone, in the first half anyway of how to play football with bravery and not being scared of the team name or venue. The fact Premier Sides still sit back when there are teams like Falkirk that Pressed Celtic to make mistakes tells alot.... Goalkeepers Biggest Part of Team: We've seen it down south more often but even up in Scotland, a Goal Keeper can be the difference between Europe and Relegation / Winning or Losing. Allocations: Well where do you even begin (sigh)..

@pieandbov People will get dragged into "why are we moaning, it's free to view ffs." It's the principle of being tossed onto YouTube instead of STV...do you really think all pubs are going to have YouTube Around the country?

The forthcoming Nations League games only being on YouTube with no commentary is a bit of a riddy but it's hardly the end of the world. They are both free to view and YT is easily accessible across any device you care to mention. End of the day if the rights holders choose to put it there then there ain't a whole lot anyone can do about it!

Unfortunately this isn't surprising. The logic which entails these decisions is ludicrous though. Seems that the Scottish Football hierarchy has alot of inconsistencies when it comes to what's allowed and not allowed in and around Scottish football, on and off the field. An Alcohol Partnership but no alcohol allowed to be consumed in the ground (besides hospitalities)... There are arguments to why people care etc.... It's the principle, why are people being punished in Scotland for something that has happened many many years ago by certain fans, so the rest of Europe can enjoy a drink whilst watching their team. Seems to sum up the whole of Scotland even Outwith football. Everyone Punished, because of a minority?

@BlairMcNally1 The conversations around a big table held about Scottish football and the ways forward with Neil Doncaster must be like a morgue.

This week is a lesson of how backwards we actually are as a football country. 12 team Premiership isn’t working, TV deal is miles off it, funds aren’t spread evenly enough and all in all we need a full restructure if anything is to change. Need to improve as a country and not just two teams…

It still annoys me that these referees are still rewarded. If someone can explain to me how they are fit to referee these bigger fixtures then I'd love to know.
Scottish FA@ScottishFA

Good luck to our two refereeing teams in European fixtures this evening. John Beaton takes charge of Besiktas v Frankfurt in the #UEL, supported by Daniel McFarlane, David McGeachie, Chris Graham, Nick Walsh & Steven McLean. David Dickinson referees Lugano v HJK in the #UECL, supported by Frank Connor, Jonathan Bell, Ross Hardie, Kevin Clancy & Alan Muir.

I think people should consider giving a donation. It may be another club to yours but this is people's livelihoods, the fans that go every weekend now have to deal with the thought of their club disappearing. This is much deeper than just the players or manager. If everyone chipped in something you could be the help they need to save a club.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC@ICTFC

Save ICT Fund 👏 Fantastic response with over £27,000 now donated since yesterday afternoon, we thank everyone for their donations so far. gofundme.com/f/inverness-ca…

Nail on the head here. Football Fans Treated like Animals as per usual, never have any explanations for it either which tells you all you need to know.👍 The category system as mentioned would be a great way to have alcohol back at stadiums, maybe if the Scottish government actually had conversations with fans/ clubs/ sfa then maybe we could get somewhere.
Pie & Bovril 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿@pieandbov

Astonishing and yet not surprising that the Scottish government are now backtracking on any notion of overturning the absurd ban on alcohol at Scottish Football matches. Football fans still being treated like second class citizens because of something that happened 44 years ago. And let's quash the usual knicker wetting responses right now; 1) Yes we can do without a drink for 90 minutes. Nobody is suggesting we sit and drink at our seats during the game. A pre match or half time beer in the stadium might be a nice choice to have though. 2) No, nobody is suggesting that fans rock up with carry outs at the turnstyles or that's there's a full range of optics at the pie stall. 3) Yes, there might be a case for not selling alcohol at high risk games. All games are already categorised anyway, so it's not difficult to switch the taps off at individual games. 4) Yes, as amazing as it might seem, plenty people do already drink alcohol before attending games. They have these places called pubs. 5) No, fans wouldn't be chucking glass bottles at each other in the stands. A plastic pint of 4% beer ain't going to spark any sort of riot. 6) Yes, in England, where they have a massive history of domestic and international football violence that far outweighs anything ever seen in Scotland, they are still allowed to have a beer. The ban is completely out of date, completely unfair, and utterly stupid.

This whole country, when it comes to fans getting the games for a reasonable price, with the horrible ticketing systems, inept communication skills used by clubs and leagues and allocations...it's all a joke and is exactly why this is one of the big reasons we can't move forward with scottish football.....along with TV broadcasting and referee inconsistencies.
Blair McNally@BlairMcNally1

League rules state this position should be known as MINIMUM of 14 days before the date of the match This is a complete shambles from all parties involved

I completely agree, as Michael Stewart said (I rarely agree with him) it's shameful that Falkirk can get right at them and other teams just set up for a draw. The flip side to this is, Falkirk wasted a lot of energy in that first half just with the pressing...Celtic picked them off in the end.

Premiership teams need to take a page out of Falkirk's book here, getting in their faces and winning battles. Playing without fear. That's how we should've looked to be yesterday.

Owen Beck ex Dundee Loanee sent off for Blackburn late on in the game due to a harsh tackle....Blackburn a team with not just an Ex Dundee Player....but Also Ex Rangers, with Todd Cantwell also coming on and playing. Ex St Johnstone player Alistair McCann was also playing but for Preston who put in Good shift in fairness to the boy....Paul Heckingbottom obviously also being the manager of Preston, ex Hibernian Manager.😄
