In response to the growing opioid epidemic, Sheriff Hardwick and SJSO personnel are highlighting how re-entry services provided within the St. Johns County jail are helping save lives and reduce crime.
The SJSO Re-entry Center offers overdose prevention, narcotics education, and other support programs and resources to equip individuals with tools that positively influence their transition back into the community. These initiatives reflect a vision Sheriff Hardwick has worked towards implementing.
Since the introduction of re-entry programs in St. Johns County, recidivism has reduced by 10%, creating a positive impact across our agency and community.
