criticizing the hell out of david baszucki for running the platform's reputation to the ground is one thing. in fact, that's literally what the entire community should be doing because of updates like these. but presumably doxxing his home when he's got a wife and kids is beyond insane, even if that's not his location, you're putting someone else at risk just because of being mad over terrible updates. im just as frustrated as you guys are, but actions like these are what loses the plot here.

They changed that over a year ago there's a -$100 paywall if u have iOS 26 but didn't pay for it then you likely had the beta profile before the paywall either way if you installed it just to complain should've waited for the public beta or just stay quiet

Apple should really add a warning message to the beta update screen so people know what the purpose of a developer beta is for.

@bussys_ @buffys Join the Apple Developer Program at developer.apple.com/enroll, then go to Software Update > Beta Updates > iOS 26 Developer Beta. Make sure you use a spare device, or backup your data before you update, as betas can be buggy and you can only go back by resetting and restoring.

@gradyp_ @rarenathan @buffys It's really not. You have to join the developer program which takes about 1 minute, then you have to go to device settings to change the update channel.

@rarenathan @buffys how you know they’re tech illiterate if they have the developer betas 😭 it’s really quite the process and you’d have to be caught up on it anyways to know
