In an up-and-down day in Cleveland, @HokiesWrestling sent two wrestlers to the NCAA quarterfinals. 6 remain in the hunt for a podium finish. Aaron Seidel stole the show with two tech falls, while other #Hokies stalwarts struggled. Recap by @adam_firebaugh techlunchpail.com/blog/virginia-…

With the exception of a few notable finishes, the #NCAAs in Cleveland are going about as expected. That's not to say that some programs aren't over performing. Stanford, for example, is currently in 9th place with 12 team points after sending multiple guys to the quarterfinals.

@HokiesWrestling Miller battled but came up short against Cornell's No. 3 Meyer Shapiro, 5-1. He'll look for a podium finish in the consolation bracket.

@HokiesWrestling Crook dropped his bout, 8-6 to Rutgers Joey Oliveri. Meanwhile, Gaj came up short against Nebraska's Chance Lamer, 4-1. He looked a step slow all match long. Three #Hokies are still in the title bracket here in Cleveland, but the remaining bouts are all against top-5 foes.
