I just thought of the funniest bit for the next stream where we read WW2 news broadcasts in the style of ABC’s Iran coverage. “US and British forces have engaged in a risky and dangerous amphibious landing at Normandy, casting doubt on the war’s future. We cross now to German Public Relations secretary Joseph Goebbels…”

@Dr_M_Davis A strong NATO is troublesome for Australians. They feel neglected. Hence these opinions.

Tucker Carlson: If Europe is not an ally of the United States, then China rules the world. Europe needs to be an ally. We came from Europe. Basically Europe produced us. There are people in the US government who really hate Europe. I don't understand why.

Joe Kent is a real life version of an action film star. He did it all for his country. He lost his wife. Even so, people who never served while calling for war are calling him a spy, trash, and worse.

@exQUIZitely Great thing about this classic was the pop cap and map size. I believe it was 1200 pop cap. Truly epic.

A truly epic RTS game turns 25 this year... During the peak years of RTS games (90s and early 2000s), you almost had too much choice. Everyone will remember the greats like Age of Empires, Command & Conquer, Warcraft, or StarCarft - but outside of that one title stuck with me. It wasn't better than the legends I listed before, but it had one of the coolest and most badass intros, an insane amount of units, and a great multiplayer mode: Empire Earth (2001) One of the features that I loved was the massive time span it covered: 14 epochs, which totaled over 500,000 years! You started when humans barely walked and then nuked them to pieces in the Nano Age towards the end. The massive gaps between techs when reaching a new era before your friends was quite noticable and made for some hilarious fights. I don't really know what it was, but Empire Earth was simply fun... and if you tell me you don't get nerd chills at the end of the intro when the narrator utters the words "EMPIRE EARTH!", then you're not a gamer :)

Supply chains and stockpiles have long determined who wins wars. Diversified and resilient industrial bases will ultimately set competitors apart in future wars. Yet Australia’s missile course remains more of a framework of a plan. my latest: aspistrategist.org.au/as-us-depletes…

@SkyNewsAust What a way to blow a crap load of cash. After judging anything that breathes for 20 years, suddenly Jackie O caught some feelings, what a trip.

This is an absolute mess.

Trump is basically calling up every journalist in his phone to workshop different timelines and goals for his war. In the past two days: @washingtonpost: the aim is "freedom for the people" of Iran @axios: maybe we can "end it in two or three days" with a deal @nytimes: might be "four to five weeks", I have "three very good choices" who might take control in Iran @abc: actually, nevermind, we killed those choices He doesn't sound convinced by any of it. He's throwing spaghetti at the wall. Ultimately I suspect he just wants to say he "solved" a problem that has vexed every American president since Jimmy Carter. But there's no clear idea what that looks like and no plan for how to get there. And there are plenty of possible scenarios in which Trump declares victory and leaves the region with an absolute mess

The Bondi Massacre was NOT a ‘wake up’ call for Australia… in fact… it’s gotten worse. Parts of this country looked like a war zone this week… time to choose what you want your country to look like Australia… Time to WAKE UP… front up… own up. Latest episode of The Erin Molan Show has dropped 👇
