Stopped by Third Man records in Detroit to drop off some surprises for the upcoming release and these are looking really good. #TedLucas#Thirdmanrecords
The time has come.
Images of Life is the career-spanning, 3xLP retrospective boxset illuminating the staggering breadth and depth of Detroit’s unheralded songwriting genius, Ted Lucas will be available May 22 Pre-order now at thirdmanrecords.com/products/image…
@pawtraks Just another heads up. Ted was always noodling with his sound…and songs. The solo album was more of a folk sound but his stuff ranges from psych to pop sounds. Some of it has a Beatles feel, some of it has more of a Hendrix vibe and some of his songs had an early 80s pop sound.
@pawtraks When Ted passed he lift us with 100s…if not thousands of reels and cassettes. Many tracks never heard before. I believe the next release will be out in March and the plan currently is a 3 record set.
@rocketssaucce@JourneyOfficial Actually it was going to be the next cover for Jimi Hendrix album but he died. Ted loved it and Mouse let him use it. The design was later sold to Journey.
We, The family of Ted Lucas, are thrilled to be able to finally announce an all new collaboration with Third Man Records to release Teds music catalog. Starting in February with a rerelease of Teds solo album ( in black and limited edition green vinyl). thirdmanrecords.com/blogs/news/thi…
