@TeeLopes Bridge Island Zone Act 1 is easily one of the best opening tracks in any Sonic game imo (2D at least, if not ever). You did some killer work on that game, dude!

Today I revisited my work on Sonic Superstars for the first time in like 2 years. Hearing my tracks again made me genuinely happy! Sonic Mania may be the more popular OST, but technically, I still think my work on Superstars is stronger. Hoping to do more classic Sonic games!

@TeeLopes The quality is so stable that its hard to pick a favorite, but a few screws loose and Technodrome are going really hard. But other Tracks maybe had the best small parts in it, which are so groovy I really wonder how its possible to create them.

@Mister_Wyzard My Classic Sonic music is whimsical, bouncy and electric. It’s about movement, color and fun shapes. Modern Sonic music can afford to be more emotionally mature, raw, or atmospheric, because there’s often a stronger narrative focus and a more grounded, cinematic vibe!

@TeeLopes I’m curious. If you were to do music for Modern Sonic, would you approach it any differently from the Classic games you’ve done?

@sanicbuddy Thank you! Mania also has a plethora of different musical genres, but it tried sticking to a time period, whereas in Superstars, I didn't have that concern!

@TeeLopes Speed Jungle act 1, the special stage theme and Lagoon City act 2 are probably some of my favorite Sonic songs you've ever composed. Idk I just liked how there was so much variety in styles compared to Mania (I think)

@NiGHTS_into_zzz Your opinion is valid, but I don't agree that the sound aesthetic you propose fits this game's high-fidelity visuals. When you make music for something, you need to keep that in mind

@AprilSamuraii The instrumentation is more varied and less era-centric, the melodies are more focused and less flamboyant, and the chord progressions are more interesting. The arrangements are more balanced and less chaotic. Details are more purposeful and less redundant. In short, more mature!

A week ago or so, I signed what I believe is my biggest project so far, at least in terms of prestige and visibility. Today I delivered my first official demo (I did a couple of tryout tracks before signing), and I'm very pleased that it was a hit with the devs! I feel like we have incredible chemistry, and meetings are always exciting. I hate to be "vaguepost king", but as excited as I am about it, it won't be revealed for a while. I'm just in a very happy professional place right now, and I wanted to share my excitement with the chat I'll RT this in the future :)
