He’s not a liar. And this isn’t me saying he’s a good person, this is me saying he’s smart enough to know that liars get caught too easily and it would RUIN his “Trust Me/Us” branding. What he does instead is spin a version of the truth that’s favorable to him. I think he only directly lies TWICE in the show, and even those are debatable- one is about Alastor not having a tail (lol), and the other is when he talks about Lilith’s motives & ‘finishing what she started’ (which *felt* to me like a lie but I suppose we the viewers don’t really know her motives yet). Calling him a liar is completely inaccurate- he’s a manipulator.

He DOES have positive personality traits & they DO NOT make him any less evil, nor is the story excusing what he does or woobifying him. He can be in love, emotionally hurt, fiercely loyal,compassionate & even kind to his fellow VEES, and it wouldn’t change that he’s rotten.
