@McCrackenHQ @Smith_WessonInc I started with semi autos and the only bolt actions I've used were a mosin(fun if you want a super sticky bolt) and a .22LR. I think lever action is a lot cooler, I really like my .44 magnum S&W 1854.

@Smith_WessonInc If Im going that route I honestly prefer pump or bolt action. But that may be a simple artifact of the firearms I originally learned on. Any recommendations?

I can carry a gun more powerful than the police carry just about anywhere I please that's not government property or a school in the US. I can't even imagine tasers being illegal

@Sargon_of_Akkad they don't deserve to be armed, in fact they should be limited to the same weaponry that the average Brit is allowed to have in public e.g. a rape alarm

@Smith_WessonInc Honestly 9mm. It's everywhere. It's performance is meh at best. 38 super is superior in every way but hard to find anything chambered in it. 9X23 Winchester could have been amazing, if legal problems hadn't prevented adoption.

@DJSnM @CTrot35 @digitalvoidguy Not to mention the US' overwhelming lead in super computing. Most of the fastest supercomputers in the world are run by the US department of energy. It is no coincidence that running nuclear weapons simulations is very important to us.

The US has built things like the National Ignition Facility - the world’s biggest laser confinement fusion device to be able to test physical conditions inside nuclear warheads while they’re exploding. The US locked in the test ban treaty when it knew it would be able to leverage its technology lead to stay ahead of all the other parties.

It seems there are a few people making noises about Russia testing a nuclear propulsion system and the US having nothing similar. Oh wait. nasa.gov/news-release/n…
