I'm not a car guy but uh...I don't think it's supposed to look like that that may be the problem

@thefanoftoomany Mechanic says it was cut, and when I checked underneath the car I didn't see any rust or pieces

@TehRandomFox At a glance (may be completely mistaken), it looks like the flange rusted through. You may can just cut it back, clamp on a new flange and then bolt it back together.

My car (which was fine the entire time to and from AC) suddenly made a large thunk noise when I started it to go to work and now sounds louder ffs

@ashes_trashh I have no clue, I feel like the converter is still there in front of it as the space isn't that big but I'm going to take it to a mechanic soon
