SRH Missed the trick here. Avesh Khan hit the ball with the bat before the ball reached the boundary line. Which is a clear violation of the rule. According to the ICC rule book. Anyone not part of the fielding side (like substitutes, support staff, or teammates sitting outside) must NOT interfere with the ball. This falls under “Unfair Play" So umpires will apply: Law 20.1 (Dead Ball) Law 41 (Unfair Play) And award 5 penalty runs to the fielding side. Which means LSG would have needed 6 runs of 2 balls if SRH would have appealed.

Whoaaaa this would have been such a big and controversial call if the SunRisers would have appealed for this. Avesh Khan from the dugout interfered with the ball hitting the boundary line. This would have been INSANE. #SRH #IPL2026

@_Shreyash_K pant didn't took single because he was awarded boundary ( go check scoreboard) and second when the ball is dead no run is counted doesn't matter you took single or not.

Nahi karta doesn't mean nahi kar sakta. Pehle jab batter non striker per crease chod dete the lekin koi run out attempt nahi lekin jab Ashwin ne run out kiya butler ko to out dena pada na chutiye. Agar LBW per appeal nahi karega na to bhale hi middle stump per lag rahi ho umpire khud se out nahi dega.

@Nawaidkhan99 @pranay_94 Someone has to play villain someday because rules are rules. Ashwin became villain when he did non striker run out but because of him it became normal now. Batters are afraid to take advantage now at non striker end.
