With exciting collaborations and releases just around the corner, Meridian Finance is proposing MFIP-4, designed to strengthen buying pressure for our the protocol core token, $MST: 🔥 10% of fees from Meridian Lend (Telos) will be allocated to buy back and burn $MST (with 90% continuing to go to stakers). 🔥 10% of fees from TelosPump will also be allocated to burn $MST. This proposal comes in preparation for key initiatives set to launch on each of these platforms in the near future. 🗳 Voting will follow the standard procedure on Friday, August 22. For now, only $MST on Base are eligible to vote using Snapshot. With this step, Meridian affiliates and contributors continue making strong strides in attracting top-tier projects and applicants to the ecosystem. The greater the anticipation and preparation, the greater the results! 🌐

I was impressed when I read the latest update from @HelloTelos . In that update, they dissected the issue of inflation with striking clarity: 🔸 Inflation isn't just about minting tokens, it also comes from staking, incentives, and VC overhead. 🔸 They've offset the entire 4.4% inflation rate and are now discussing setting a hard cap on the $TLOS supply. 🔸 Each transaction on Telos burns 0.32 $TLOS, and they're targeting 60k–100k daily TXs, equivalent to a 1.5%–2.5% annual burn. Telos removes all artificial layers like MEV and subsidies, which only waste gas. They focus solely on performance and real demand. With this approach, I believe $TLOS will be more easily embraced by real users and fairly revalued.
