We shared a Banana Oat muffin recipe with our Kemach Baking Club participants and invited them to “pay it forward.” 
Members across our community baked and delivered their treats to local law enforcement & social service agencies, spreading kindness one batch at a time.

An update from Temple Israel.

BUNK45, our group for 4th and 5th graders, spent a Sunday last month bowling at Wonderland Lanes. Thanks to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of bowling, pizza, and pop. We’re looking forward to our next program together.

An incredible morning of learning at Tyner Religious School! Students made hamsas, learned Havdalah prayers, wrote about their Jewish traditions, and prepared for Pesach by making charoset. We’re also proud of sixth grader Josh Gorovets for sharing his book Rearranged with us.

This past Shabbat at Temple Israel (West Bloomfield, Mich.), we celebrated Rabbi Arianna Gordon's 15th anniversary and Educators' Shabbat. In her remarks, Rabbi Gordon reflects with deep gratitude on the community that has shaped her and wisdom over her years at Temple.

Thank you to Women of Temple Israel and Carolyn Normandin for leading a thoughtful discussion of People of the Book. Together we explored the remarkable journey of the Sarajevo Haggadah and reflected on the power of Jewish history and storytelling as Pesach approaches.

Purim got the full pop star glow up at Temple Israel’s Family Spiel, J Pop Haman Hunters. Dramatic poses, big laughs, sparkly transformations, and nonstop energy made it a celebration to remember. We loved celebrating together as a community.

Students at Tyner Religious School had a fabulous morning celebrating Purim on Sunday! From creative costumes and learning the Purim story to making masks, enjoying hamantaschen and enjoying our family spiel, J-Pop Haman Hunters, the joy was truly everywhere. Chag Purim Sameach!

Our teens returned from an impactful trip to Washington, D.C., joining L’Taken seminars with the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism and advocating on Capitol Hill. They shared Havdalah on the National Mall and visited the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
