Well done to our amazing Reception children who performed so confidently in their very first year group assembly! You were all fantastic!

It's the start of a brand new year... it's Friday and that can only mean one thing... it's time for Golden Book Assembly. We are so excited as from this week our Reception children will be joining us... I wonder who will be in the Golden Book this week? ⁉️

Look who just happened to take time out of his very busy schedule and visit Templemoor this afternoon... the one and only Father Christmas! His sleigh and reindeers even landed on our school roof! Rudolph had an extra bright red nose due to the icy cold! Ho, Ho, Ho!

It's Christmas Dinner at Templemoor, our favourite lunch of the year! The tables are set... the Christmas music is already playing, the sprouts are cooking nicely! All we need are hungry children! A huge thank you to our amazing cook Mrs Quigley, and her team! @mellorscatering

It's National Poetry Day and here is a fantastic poem that has been written by a Year 2 pupil! It pretty much sums up Templemoor! We are looking forward to reading lots of poems throughout the day! Happy #NationalPoetryDay!

We are collecting foodbank donations up until Thursday 20th October.

We had a very special visitor joining our assembly today. Sue from @TrafSthFoodbank talked to the children about the work that the foodbank does and the ways in which our school community can support this vital cause. Thank you Sue for coming to school to talk to the children.

Year 2 have had a fantastic visit to Sale Library this morning. Thank you to our parent volunteers who gave up their time to walk to the library from school and @TraffLibraries for making the children feel so welcome and so excited about reading!

Our first monthly newsletter of the new academic year will be sent out today via email with year group homelinks. Copies can also be downloaded from our website. Look out for important dates... including... dare we say it... Christmas! Happy reading!

As well as celebrating the Jubilee, we also said goodbye today to Mrs Jeng, who has worked at Templemoor for over 29 years. Thank you Mrs Jeng for all of your dedication and commitment to school over the years. Enjoy your retirement - we will miss you so much.

What an amazing day we have had celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee! Wearing red, white and blue - we managed to have a lunch fit for royalty outdoors. We even posed for selfies with Her Majesty! Thank you to the Friends of Templemoor for the commemorative pin badge too!

Each class will now get £100 to spend on new playground equipment, partly funded by The Friends of Templemoor. We can’t wait to see what equipment the children choose!

Breaking News- the children have voted, the results are in: The Playground Party 66 votes The Happy Minds Party 64 votes The Arty Party 38 votes The Read More Party 32 votes Well done to our Rights Respecting Leaders for their fantastic campaigning.

It's Election Day here at Templemoor. Voting is well underway, with children voting for either the Arty Party, Happy Minds Party, Read More Party or the Playground Party. Real democracy in action!

...and so we reach the end of a very busy Autumn Term. On behalf of the staff and governors, we wish all our children, parents and their extended families a wonderful and relaxing holiday! We will see you all again on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

Aladdin is in full swing and the children are absolutely loving it! There is singing, dancing and even a funny camel!
