@StuffWorthSee Nope. RV’s are such a pain in the ass in the long run.
Roadtrips in my truck around Florida and stay at hotels or cabins.
Cheaper, won’t breakdown, don’t have to worry about the shitter.
Flights anyplace farther than Florida and hotels.
@skumWgmi Just don’t pay. Reverse mortgage the house, start transferring assets now to trustworthy family who will let you use it until you die. (Not financial advice)
My uncle had a heart attack.
He survived.
He wishes he hadn't seen the bill.
Ambulance: $3,200.
ER: $44,000
Surgery: $180,000.
ICU: $22,000 per day. For 4 days.
Rehab: $1,400/day.
Insurance negotiated it down to $97,000 out of pocket.
He's 65.
He'll die still paying this off.
in every other developed country, this bill is $0.
We don't have a healthcare system.
We have a hostage situation.
@PlumbNick You send the foreigners home. They are all forced to sell their houses at once, this crashes the housing prices. Americans can then secure houses for less. It’s a win for America.
Meta just told their laid-off H-1B workers they’re getting extra “condolences” and immigration guidance… American’s shouldn’t have to compete with people who’s immigration sponsor deemed were no longer necessary.
It makes zero sense for us to keep issuing, renewing or transferring visas for skills that AI is already commoditizing and devaluing. We’re propping up a broken system that’s setting up an even bigger crash for U.S. workers.
Here’s the my full breakdown.
Who is making 70k a year? Like take home 70k? I’m almost 35 and the most I’ve ever made working 7 days a week, 2 jobs is 46k after taxes. Idk anyone who makes 70k after taxes besides like engineers
@KyleDore_@SpaceWalkerReal Boomers could walk into a office and get a high paying job. They could afford a house and had loads of disposable income. Now you need two people just to afford a mortgage and impossible to find jobs
It's GENUINELY scary to see how many Millenials & Zoomers are living their lives not even HOPING to get married or have children. They are literally going through life with themselves as their only priority, fully okay with dying childless.
What this also means is: These people have NO PERSONAL STAKES in the future health and prosperity of our society, outside of the ~100-year window they're alive in.
@TheEXECUTlONER_ Why not find a nice little corner on the block near the school & arrange for your kid to walk there & you pick them up? That way you don’t have to deal with traffic or waiting hours.
This lady was filming these parents who were in the car line at school 2 1/2 hours before school gets out.
She says don’t be like them.
But many people said it’s worth not having to deal with the traffic and backup and some parents may work closer to the school and it beats driving all the way back home and then coming back.
I have been known to go get in line at the school about an hour before they get out so I can beat it as well. Sometimes I’ll catch up on emails, phone calls and even take a nap.
Have you ever gone this early to get in the car line? Have you ever wondered when you have left early how these people are here before you? Does this bother you like it does this woman or to each their own?
35 years old and $1.9 million net worth.
No wife. No kids. No debt.
Spends $25k/year.
Wants to sit at home a play video games all day.
Do you think this person should walk away from their salary forever?
