@MerlinUnited Wouldn't national teams play friendlies on those occasions without Nations league? I believe whole was to get rid of meaningless friendlies.

People dissing Kieran McKenna really don’t have a clue as to how good a coach he was for the academy. If he goes to Ipswich I wish him well.

Imagine Man City and Liverpool going toe to toe for the title. On the last day of the season they meet & City are 3 up with just minutes to go. The referee decides it would be more exciting to have a penalty shootout. What’s more the City players have to be barefooted. That’s @F1

@Lawton_Times Surely a lot of sports fans wanted the one to win that controlled whole race? Any sport can be made more exciting by stopping the game and evening things just before the end.

I think the FIA made the right call in race time. Nobody wanted to see the finale end with the drivers following the safety car. What we got was far more exciting.

@timlongsports There's no need to make excuses. How it ended doesn't take away anything from the good work OGS did before. The end was so awful that to say that it would've been completely different if they hadn't signed Ronaldo seems extremely far fetched. Either way end result would be on Ole

I have nothing against Ronaldo. He’s literally great. Ultimately, it’s OGS’s fault for not creating a system that accommodates him. But still, Ronaldo’s inclusion in the previously successful systems is the reason they’ve collapsed. He can be a reason, without it being his fault.

@AbdelBeheri What should they do then? Zero good managers out there without a contract and doubt any of the good ones would terminate their contract so just hiring somebody would be an awful decision.

@AbdelBeheri Too bad that it is always the sensible ones that leave. This needs to be a place where you don't lose more energy than you gain. That is why often check things out quickly and if there's the usual agenda going on I go so something else. All the best Abdel👍

I'm at point where Twitter is becoming a chore rather than something to enjoy ideas and engage with other people. Two sides that just want to go the extremes because they refuse to see that things are not always black or white. I'm taking a break from tweeting. Peace.

@Adamstott30 For once I'm not the one counting money as there are bigger things at play than how much money Ole will get if he gets sacked. Ole, staff at United and players are real people. Not offering that contract effects all of them. Sacking him with it is less risky.

@Temputin Totally disagree and will end up costing more money to sack him. When it could of all been easy the end of the season. Reward him if successful release if not.

@Adamstott30 Which would've run out end of the season? Every press conference would revolve around it, all possible signings would be wondering who will be the manager if they join and if United are going to return to their aimless Moyes-LvG-Mou cycle. Right thing to do.

@DomBooth19 Because normally cultural reboot begins with back-up goalkeepers. I can't even.. 😀🙈

Manchester United signing 35-year-old Tom Heaton and extending the contracts of 38-year-old Lee Grant and 33-year-old Juan Mata doesn't really scream 'cultural reboot' to me. 🤷‍♂️ #mufc

Remember when #mufc use to just go in with a bid clubs couldn't refuse ? That bid for kane from City reminded me of the very old days pre glazers. Spurs are just mental to turn that bid down especially if players are included too

@Adamstott30 Obviously that's a part of it. But feel oligarchs and sheikhs changed the game. Especially compared to time just before Abramovich. Three new global clubs without real fiscal responsibility. It changes the whole dynamic of negotiating.

@PaivarintaSusa Hohhoijaa.

@stage_jayson @Shahid2703 @Sjopinion10 Do you want United to win trophies? Do you want them to buy players in order to win trophies? With what money should they be bought? All I'm interested is for United to follow their/SAF's values and be competitive. Money is a tool, not a value.

@Temputin @Shahid2703 @Sjopinion10 What's the difference between your thinking and the vile of the Glazers we are fighting against. For the fans its football that is cardinal before monies. If you are always talking revenue its all you'll ever talk about. Speak abou football, then trophies, then revenue. That order

@sepukka Ihan sama kuka on pääministeri, mutta nämä aamupalapelleilyt voisi unohtaa. Miten paljon aikaa voidaan käyttää noin mitättömään asiaan? Mm. @MTVUutiset Seitsemän uutisten pääuutinen tänään. Ne kuuluisat isot ja pienet asiat ovat aika rajusti hukassa toimittajakunnalla.

@Shahid2703 @stage_jayson @Sjopinion10 I don't know how so. I could back it up with the fact that top-4 finish earns a club way more than FA cup win. In recruitment players will be way more interested whether you'll play in UCL next season than of your FA cup win last season. Club has a better chance for improvement.
