A proposed $1.6 billion hyperscale data center campus could bring Cleveland’s first major AI and cloud computing facility to Slavic Village. Plans call for three large data center buildings on a 35-acre former trucking site near Interstate 77 and East 55th Street. The proposed 150-megawatt facility would consume enough power to support roughly 100,000 homes, with major infrastructure planned for power, cooling, and water systems. The project is still in early stages and could face challenges ahead, including a proposed Ohio ballot amendment that would ban new data centers larger than 25 megawatts if passed this November.
