The annual Harwich Sausage Festival begins with a fun throwing contest, which the participants take very seriously, before the tasting contest and fringe event in pubs around the town.

@martgathercole Glad you enjoyed it, but we didn't organise the trail, only shared some of the posts advertising it (on Facebook mainly). It is mainly the pubs themselves with help from Wharf brewery and I think a volunteer who helps with the web/social stuff.

For those worrying, despite the awful weather conditions I successfully completed the @TendringCAMRA Harwich Ale Trail, 6 ales sampled🍻 for my penance I now need to watch @bbcstrictly with Mrs G - fair trade 🤷🏼‍♂️ just to confirm Mrs G is a diamond 😉
