Yesterday's Shilling is now my third. It is quite likely they came from the mint mis-shaped. The weight of the coin was the most important factor, not the shape. These are within 0.05 grams of each other, the full flan being the lightest. An Elizabeth I is on my wish list 😊

Daisies are perfect little flowers. Symbols of childhood and innocence, that were once known in Scotland as Bairnwort “the Child’s Flower” 🤍💮 But like many things in nature, their seeming simplicity is maybe not what it seems. What we see as a single bloom is not one flower at all but a small constellation of life working as one ✨ At the heart lie a cluster of tiny golden disc florets, each a complete flower in its own right, rich with nectar and pollen for our precious pollonators 🐝 Encircling them are the soft white petal-like florets that glow like moonlight and signal to passing insects letting them know that a rich source of nectar lies at the centre🌙
