While Tennessee students are making record gains, there’s more work to do to ensure the gap between economically disadvantaged students and non-economically disadvantaged students closes. Thankfully, Tennessee is committed to continuing to improve education outcomes for all students. tnfirefly.com/news/research-…

Tennessee's literacy strategy is producing real results because it puts student achievement first. When schools focus on strong instruction, clear expectations, and honest accountability, students rise to the challenge. That's a model worth celebrating. tnfirefly.com/news/report-fi…

For years, TN bet that transparency, accountability & high expectations would lead to better outcomes. This week’s results prove that bet is paying off, even as other states lower expectations or try to explain away learning loss. tn-can.org/press-releases…

Last week, the department joined other state leaders to visit the Williamson County Schools Innovation Center, which is expected to open to students for the first time in August! Made possible by the Innovative Schools Model grant, the new building will be on the same campus as the Entrepreneurship Center and will feature classrooms, meeting spaces, a culinary kitchen, a grab-and-go eatery, and community spaces. The Innovation Center will also offer programs in Advanced Power & Machinery, Aviation, Cybersecurity & AI, Hospitality & Tourism, and Fire Management. We’re excited for all the students who will benefit from this amazing facility this fall! @WCSedu
