"I've been rooting for the Knicks since I've been 7 years old and to have a team like this is pretty darn special." - Legendary @NYKnicks broadcaster Mike Breen on the Knicks heading to the NBA Finals.

@PeteyMC81 @ProFootballTalk I get where he’s coming from, but for hardcore fans who are interested in more than just their favorite team, these standalone games give you more opportunities to watch games then the traditional Sunday lineups - without having to pay for NFL Sunday Ticket or Redzone
English

@ProFootballTalk They know they can get away with it b/c fantasy football players &gamblers would watch every night if they could.Don't mind it myself/enjoy it b/c I can just quickly watch the replays while working out the following morning. Allows me to/easier to view more games w/o spoilers.

Jason Kelce is concerned that the NFL is getting away from Sunday as the day for football. The reality is that, given current viewing habits, any day is Sunday. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

@Zwxsh Yes. If he had not won it, his resume would have a glaring blemish (when compared to Djokovic and Nadal)

@kick_in_grass 8. The positive for me is an American is that the matches will be available to watch live at reasonable times. The biggest downside is that the expanded field waters down the competition. There are some matches, due to the countries, I won’t be interested in.

@Peter_Bukowski Don’t we already have that now with Eli Manning?

Who is the QB from this era who will make people react like this Elway debate 30 years from now?
- Stats are meh (even accounting for era)
- Accolades aren’t there (All-Pro/MVPs)
- But a “you had to be there” QB
Chris@chiefs_outsider
I find it odd that John Elway has 0 first team All-Pro selections. People will gaslight you and tell you he was some top 5 QB OAT when he was arguably not even top 5 in his era most of his career. His legacy was a inflated when he won back to back Super Bowls off Terrell Davis’ legs (7 straight post season games over 100 yds) a Rod Smith 80 yd house call that was under-thrown, and 4 turnovers from his defense gifting him his SB MVP.
English

@chiefs_outsider I think we have to remember that he mostly played in a run-first era football in the 80s and Coach Shanahan embraced that mindset into John’s late career when they finally won the rings. Marino‘s stats were an extreme outlier for that era.

@finebaum Yes, ruin to the extent that four loss teams (from the Big Ten and SEC) may get into the field. Ultimately, I think the question who should have the opportunity to play in the championship tournament.
