In addition to what Leslie said, my intuition is that Tufts and Greenidge had a separation agreement which involved money and an NDA: that is usually the case when it comes to breaking tenure for any reason. My question is--how did the story actually get reported? I understand that speculation is what social media does, but in this case, whatever your hunch, it is cruel to Kerri to keep it in the news, and I wish everyone would stop being such a lookie-loo

And it also strikes me as pretty remarkable that all three of these institutions unpersoned Greenidge so quietly and without fanfare. *This* actually poses serious questions. Why have Norton, Tufts, and the AHA been so tight-lipped about this?

Strikes me that the response of *many* historians to the Greenidge scandal—that the NYT is whipping up a moral panic against a Black feminist scholar—overlooks that the story was merely noting that Greenidge had already been unpersoned by her publisher, Tufts, *and* the AHA

Holy moly. I only met Lindsey Graham once, after disliking him for his political positions for years I immediately understood how he got to his place in politics. He was engaging, warm, and hysterically funny. Rest in peace. Very sad news.

Fox News did not cover the rape allegation until July 7. But my point is that the feminist and liberal Jewish press did: Jewish Insider broke the Nazi taboo story on October 21, 2025, asserting that he had joked about it years before he claim to have understood it. Fyfeld was quoted in that story. CNN broadcast a story about it four days later, along with a number of outlets across the spectrum.
