Chroma Prime was my first Prime and still remains as my most played frame (even after he became hard to play in random squads), with these changes he feels great to play in a squad again. Missed my boy so much over the years and couldn't be happier now!

Just don't see the benefit personally when there's better auras available and enemies are needed nonetheless if I run CD or not. It's situational, just like Chroma himself but not 'overall' fix to his current issues.

@Terasedward @Leviathis_Krade @PabloMakes But it’s NOT *vs*… you get BOTH effects. Slotting combat discipline doesn’t remove how vex armor works - stacking by letting an enemy hit you. It just gives you another option to stack by killing

Hey @PabloMakes ! 1/3 I noticed you've been answering some questions here and would love to know if there is any tweaks/rework coming for Chroma in the near future? He's one of my favorites, but since self dmg was removed he's fallen behind because during most normal missions --

@Leviathis_Krade @lordcmfrancis @PabloMakes I could do it, that's not the problem. Just don't see the benefit of using Combat Discipline over Growing Power etc., because it's 10 enemies killed for max buff vs. 1 enemy attacking you for a while (+ the fact you still need to let enemy attack for Scorn).

@Terasedward @lordcmfrancis @PabloMakes if you turn off your shields before you build up scorn it'll make you semi squishy, and if you have chroma prime, the aura forma is just a 4-day time gate b/c of how commonly it drops from arbitrations; and very much worth it for other possible builds.

@Leviathis_Krade @lordcmfrancis @PabloMakes -- Grace, Medi-Ray (sentinel) and using mod space for HR and 10 enemies killed to get Vex's Fury up + Aura forma. It's one way to use him for sure, but requires far more than simply letting enemy access your HP directly.

@Leviathis_Krade @lordcmfrancis @PabloMakes Those two together (+ Grace) would be enough yeah if running CD, but don't see it as a worth investment since Parasitic ya suggested already offers free way to health for enemies (and only one enemy is needed) vs. needing --

@lordcmfrancis @Leviathis_Krade @PabloMakes -- missions it's too much of a hassle to keep track of it and even maxed Grace wouldn't be fast enough to heal when breezing through. And as mentioned, it would require aura forma to work so if I used it in one config, it will mess others (if used it only on Orbs for example).

@lordcmfrancis @Leviathis_Krade @PabloMakes I do, what I mean is that when doing Eidolons there isn't a lot of enemies for me to kill in order to use aura for my benefit (without wasting extra time flying around). Orbs however spawn ads so I could get kills exactly as many as needed and ignore the rest. And with base --

@Leviathis_Krade @PabloMakes Ye and my build doesn't offer much freedom to change rn. Using cold for the armor already and it's usually enough so don't really need extra armor from the Parasitic, rather using it as means to get Fury up faster. Tested it on a hunt and helped already! More testing later :P

@Terasedward @PabloMakes actually you want some shields on the build since it translates to armor, run it with adaptation and you're basically inaros w/o sandstorm boreal's hatred is all I use though and then do umbral set+duration mods also while electric does convert to some armor cold is better imo

@lordcmfrancis @Leviathis_Krade @PabloMakes Mmm idk, feels kinda useless in terms of Chroma outside of maybe Orbs. Eidolons rarely offer much enemies to lose health to on kills and on base missions you just down yourself since there's no cap. Might try it out on Orb, but wouldn't waste aura forma to minmax for few bosses.

@Terasedward @Leviathis_Krade @PabloMakes might i recommend combat discipline in the aura slot for the self damage effect

@Leviathis_Krade @PabloMakes Oh dang didn't even think about that! I'm using Empower in one of the configs, but it was more of a test back when the system was added. Parasitic is great idea and if I lower shields enough with new mods it's insta buff and enemies will be able to buff Fury directly. Ty!

@Terasedward @PabloMakes until he gets another revamp in the future you can replace one of his abilities with parasitic armor for some shenanigans.

@PabloMakes That's understandable, lots of frames in need of an attention and Chroma still works (albeit in specific conditions). Ty for answering! Shall be waiting patiently 🥲

3/3 changing Vex to simple cast -> you get a buff would already make him so much better to play on base missions. Ty for reading!

2/3 especially when playing in squad he has no time to build up Vex's buffs. Not to mention Nullifier bubbles 😂 Most other frames with similar abilities get them just from the press of a button nowadays. There's other things that could be looked into but --
