Its been a while, heres a lil squiggly sketch I drew with my non-dominant right hand. Whilst I love being a leftie, cutting with scissors in theatres remains a painful experience - no matter the tricks ppl tell me!! Any advice from surgical lefties?

So, this begs the question, why do HNM have different immediate surgical characteristics and long term outcomes? Could it be due to the complex lymphatic drainage pattern in the H&N? I’ll let you read our study to find out :)

But, it has been recognised that H&N melanoma has different SLNB characteristics and overall survival compared to other regions. A high false negative rate has been recorded with large cohorts reporting rates of over 30% as well as worse prognosis and melanoma-free survival.
