This time, we welcome back MARE and WHOREDOM RIFE, two monoliths of Black Metal originating from Trondheim, Nidaros. Another return to the festival is SYN, who debuted at Caerimonia Nidrosiæ two years ago and now comes back with a new record (to be released later this year) under their belt. Trust us—it’s absolutely peak performance all the way. LVCIFYRE will play their first-ever gig in Norway, and it’s an absolute honor! The band is a titanic live force and will blow us all away, mark my words! The same goes for KRINGA, a tremendous force of nature on stage, delivering wild and possessed Black Metal shows that always turn heads wherever they play. THORNSPAWN WARNING! This morning I saw @thornspawnofficial trying to set up a new European tour. I immediately went public on my Facebook channel trying to warn basically everyone not to work with this scumbag and his band. The fact they SUCK is one thing, but they have a 30+ year history of stealing and lying, and the response from people all over just confirms this. ‘Everyone’ has a story about these guys, and it’s all theft and lies. Just head over to my Facebook and see for yourself. I hope others reply to this post as well, as there are NUMEROUS examples of their thievery. This is my experience, summarized: He befriended me via email. I was close with Black Witchery back then and knew they were friends, so I bought into it. He said he was going to open a shop where he lived. Being in contact for months and he sending me his crappy titles and tiny gifts, I agreed to send a big box full of records to him as he was just starting up. I did this to help him start up and get I would get paid later. After I shipped the box he stopped replying…. Then I talked with people throughout the scene who all confirmed the same behaviour over the years. Years later I tracked him down on Facebook. Caught him off guard, he said he would pay me and was sorry, then blocked me. Total fraud, liar and the very definition of a thief. Of course, there could be two sides to a story, but this is just too painfully obvious. Warn everyone, inform those who book them, and by all means fuck them straight in the ass. #terraturpossessions

IN MEMORIAM S.T.B. This event is a trembling, sacred tribute to the irreplaceable light Steingrim Torson Brissach left burning in the world when he was torn from us in 2009. No language on earth can hold the weight of what he meant to the Nidrosian movement, neither in the blaze of the stage lights nor in the quiet shadows where he lifted us all. He was truly one of a kind. So on this celebratory night, let the music speak where words fall short. Let the music rise up to the stars, let it ache and soar and carry us gratefully back to those fleeting, golden days when he was still among us, alive and breathing fire into every note. BLACK MAJESTY! Definitively one of the more arcane and hard to find projects from Trondheim. Ritualistic Black Death Metal supremacy, unmatched within this country’s borders dare I say. Although there’s never been an official release, the band has thrived in the shadows of obscurity for nearly 20 years, and it’s time to bring this band back on stage for the first time since 2013! Clarification yet again; Kaosritual, Black Majesty, Celestial Bloodshed and One Tail, One Head will all perform a handful selected songs to commemorate a quarter century of Nidrosian Black Metal. CELESTIAL BLOODSHED! First off a clarification, again: The Nidrosian Black Mass event on Friday will feature original members and invited guests performing songs from the Nidrosian Black Metal movement, formed in the beginning of 2000’s. This means it’s a lengthy set consisting of chosen songs from several projects; One Tail, One Head, Black Majesty, Kaosritual, and Celestial Bloodshed. Note that its not full sets by the above mentioned bands, but hand picked songs performed again, or for the first time, live on stage by the originators. It is a celebration of what once was, by a circle of individuals that still to this day keep releasing the most important music within the genre of Black Metal. It’s the first time these artists get together and do this after a quarter century of dedication to the artform and lifestyle we know as ‘Black Metal’. CELESTIAL BLOODSHED is one of the most important acts in the formative years of the movement. The band that united and shaped so much of the beginning, when we all started meeting eachother regularly and formed friendships for life, it was the first touring band that brought the Nidrosian Black Metal out to venues all over Europe, and it was the band that established Terratur Possessions to become what it is today. I could go on and on but let’s leave it at this. The NIDROSIAN BLACK MASS will be an event to remember and is something we have been wanting to do for many years. KAOSRITUAL! For what is a celebratory event of Nidrosian Black Metal without Kaosritual! Albeit Dark Sonority exists as a continuation of the same project, this event will feature an alternative performance by the originators. Without giving away too much, it will be as close to the original lineup as it could be without Steingrim. Kaosrituals opus magnum ‘Svøpt Morgenrød’ is by many considered the ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’ of Trondheim, and rightfully so. Its sheer brilliance is unquestionable.
