Asking for help this Christmas 🎄 My friends 10-yr-old daughter Fayden spent her birthday in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant (she received one ❤️). Due to overwhelming medical debt, the family can’t afford Christmas gifts this year for themselves & their 2 kids.

She left us on September 6th, at the age of 97. She was the heart and soul of our family ~ a constant source of love, wisdom, and strength. One of her deepest wishes was to be reunited with her husband on his birthday, September 7th. She got her wish!

I still can’t fully believe this is real, but my grandma passed away last Saturday. It’s taken me some time to find the strength to share this ~ saying the words make it all feel far too real.

Tell me something. How does it make sense that able-bodied people don’t have to ever go in for an appointment for Suboxone, when wheelchair-bound physically disabled patients are having to fly across the country to access a small amount of prescription opioids for pain?

@ibdgirl76 It’s honestly mind boggling. The system should be ensuring equal access, not making it harder for those with physical disabilities to get the care they need. It’s a real issue when people who already face so many barriers have to jump through even more hoops for pain management.
