Just added something kinda ridiculous but awesome: custom Z-offsets for procedural tiles! Now my mazes feel way less flat, like real multi-level terrain instead of everything stuck on the same boring floor. This is gonna make the game so much more interesting! 🔥 #IndieDev #GameDev #MazeRift

Other solo devs, how do you guys do it for art? Art is crazy expensive and I have the artist skills of a moldy pineapple. Are you guys genuinely just all so talented at both dev AND art or you outsourcing art like me?

I felt like my item pickups were kinda boring… just a UI pop up and that’s it So I tried something different when you pick a new item, it gets a little showcase moment with animation #IndieGame #Gamedev #gamedevelopment #indiedev

I think one of the biggest mistakes indie devs make when marketing their game is assuming players will understand what it is. You have to do all the heavy lifting instantly. You have a small window to make it interesting, and if it doesn’t spark something, they’re likely gone.
