I cannot stress how much this current era EXACTLY mimics my young childhood as a Madrid fan. 2024-2025 is the SAME as 03/04 (one star too many, lack of depth) 2025-2026 is the SAME as 04/05 (multiple new coaches, spend to address "problems" but fail due to poor principles)

@PharmTheoAnnang @RmadridElRey I'm confused you said Vini loses concentration when it is needed? But Vini has had multiple big high profile performances when it was needed. And also converted in two finals. Do you consider those moments luck? Vini's CL record in the knockouts is fantastic.

@laligaandbeyond @RCCelta Such a great example of a transfer that should never happen under "normal" circumstances. He shouldn't be leaving Celta until 23-25 idealistically

@__scottsaunders Neymar is literally only underrated because he didn't play in England. So people did not see him week in week out. And he left Barca too soon as well. That's it. Had he played in England he would be lionized. Michu is praised in England. Neymar would have been a deity.

If you’re of a certain age, you’re outraged at the Neymar slander. If you’re a little bit older, you’ve seen a lot better.

@RTorp14 @Jack4231n Neymar really ruined it for himself by going to PSG tbh - everything else was lined up for him well at Barca and he hurt his legacy badly by going to PSG at the time. It is what it is

@TerryFooty The Prem has too much incest, which has led to retarded children. Both on the pitch and off.

@PharmTheoAnnang @RmadridElRey You can criticize Vini for a lot of stuff but he locks in when needed all the time. His best performances for Real Madrid have always come deep in the CL. He scored in two finals

@RmadridElRey The one we should always count on are Mbappe, Fede and Courtois. Vini cannot lead this team because he tends to lose concentration when it is needed

@Real1_balogun Madrid were in better form? They lost to Osasuna and Getafe in the weeks prior and showed up against City down 5 starters and playing an 18-year-old from the academy that wasn't part of the squad all season. They played their 3rd string LB who has played 5 matches this year

@humanmale1984 @HitTheByline I would say this is true outside of Spain. The league is 60% Spanish and multiple teams are employing over 12 academy players. Athletic Club are 98% from the academy, Real Sociedad are like 85%. Barca beat Newcastle because of their academy. Even Madrid started an 18 yr old kid

@HitTheByline What country the clubs are based in feels a bit irrelevant these days anyway. The Man City side with two Spanish internationals and a Spanish coach that lost to Madrid didn’t have a single English player starting for it whilst Madrid had Alexander-Arnold.

If there was ever a need to justify why the world hates English media, this is it. 👇 Before, when all the English side were doing well it was because the Premier League is best in the world by far. Now, it’s too competitive and all the players are tired and that’s why they’re losing/struggling. They are so insecure about not being the best that they have to try and justify losing, it’s quite frankly embarrassing. 🤣

@PranavP12689677 @prof_nakhabi @SkySportsNews Barca aren't really as broke as you think anymore - they are just restricted by the very harsh La Liga salary cap. Most of the teams in the prem would have to de-register a lot of players if they played under the same rules.

@WHYWHYWHY808 See, no one ever does this for other leagues though. Serie A has had the most competition for titles this decade but when they lose in Europe it's never because of the competition in the league - it's just the league being bad.

Lowkey some of the fight Tottenham showed at Liverpool and tonight might just save them from relegation back in the Prem.
