🚨 Standing with Elon! 💪 “Regarding the OpenAI case, the judge & jury never ruled on the actual merits — just a calendar technicality.” OpenAI was founded for the benefit of all humanity, not to enrich a few. Elon is right to appeal to the Ninth Circuit. We cannot allow looting charities under the guise of “for humanity.” Real visionaries don’t steal from the future. #ElonMusk #OpenAI #xAI #TeslaChina
Elon Musk@elonmusk

Regarding the OpenAI case, the judge & jury never actually ruled on the merits of the case, just on a calendar technicality. There is no question to anyone following the case in detail that Altman & Brockman did in fact enrich themselves by stealing a charity. The only question is WHEN they did it! I will be filing an appeal with the Ninth Circuit, because creating a precedent to loot charities is incredibly destructive to charitable giving in America. OpenAI was founded to benefit all of humanity.

@elonmusk Exactly. They didn’t defend with ‘We didn’t do it’ — their defense was ‘You noticed too late.’ Appealing is the right move. Looted charities destroy public trust.

That’s a perfect example of Tesla’s integrity! 😂 Even Maye Musk pays full price—no special treatment, just the same great value for everyone. Elon’s “all customers are family” line really means fair pricing and top-tier tech for every owner, not discounts. Once you’re in a Tesla, you feel that “family treatment” every day on the road with the performance, software updates, and ownership experience. Well said! 🚀

Insane strength! 🔥 That massive concrete block slams straight onto the Model Y’s hood with crazy force, yet the passenger cabin stays almost untouched — A-pillars and B-pillars rock solid. Tesla’s structural engineering and gigacastings are next level. Same story in that Shanghai rear-end where the truck literally bounced off while the Model Y held firm. Real-world proof that safety isn’t just marketing. Well done Tesla! 🚗💪 #Tesla #ModelY #Gigacast

Just started testing the @grok Build beta. First feel: UX is nice, still some rough edges, but model speed is genuinely cool. If task quality on hard stuff matches opus 4.7 (or even slightly below) at this speed, it's a game-changer. Good chance they steamroll the competition.

Interesting upgrade from the IMF to 1% UK growth for 2026. Resilience is showing despite the global shocks from the Iran conflict. However, those ‘risks’ around prolonged Middle East instability and domestic uncertainty are worth watching closely — higher energy prices could still hit households hard. Hoping for stability on both fronts.

Smart take! Tesla’s selective price bump on the higher trims is a clear sign they’re shifting toward sustainable profitability rather than endless price wars. Keeping base models untouched protects volume and market share, while the modest increases on Premium and Performance variants help margins without scaring off most buyers. The timing also feels strategic: new colors, strong NHTSA ADAS results, and creating headroom for the Juniper refresh. It’s classic Tesla — balancing near-term financial health with long-term product momentum. China staying stable makes total sense given the hyper-competitive environment there. Europe will be interesting to watch — they might lean more toward incentives than outright hikes. On the Robotaxi/FSD side, this is mildly positive for investors. Healthier auto margins give more breathing room to fund AI and autonomy bets without as much pressure. The real story remains execution on unsupervised FSD and the Robotaxi timeline, but any sign of margin discipline helps the narrative. What do you think — will we see more of these targeted adjustments globally, or is this mostly a U.S.-specific move?

Smart move by Tesla! This selective, modest price hike on mid-to-high trims shows they’re finally transitioning from pure volume-chasing to healthier margin management—without hurting the entry-level models that drive most sales. After years of aggressive cuts, it’s refreshing to see them act more like a mature automaker, especially with rising costs, strong product updates (new colors + top NHTSA ADAS scores), and room being made for the Juniper refresh. The contrast with China (where they quickly denied any increases) makes perfect sense—different markets, different strategies. This feels like targeted margin repair in a high-inflation environment rather than the “end of the price war.” Curious to see if Europe follows with similar tweaks or if Tesla keeps that region more aggressive on pricing. What are your thoughts on how this affects the upcoming Robotaxi/FSD narrative for investors? #Tesla #ModelY

Tesla Model Y Sees First U.S. Price Increase in Two Years: Modest Hike Focused on Mid-to-High Trims, Clear Strategic Signal! On May 16, Tesla quietly updated the pricing for the 2026 Model Y on its U.S. website—the first explicit price increase for this model since 2024. The adjustments are modest, targeting mainly mid- and high-end variants while leaving entry-level versions unchanged. Overall increases range from 1.2% to 2.2%, well below the roughly 5% U.S. auto inflation over the past two years. Specific changes: • Model Y Premium RWD: Up $1,000 to $45,990 (approx. RMB 314,000). • Model Y Premium AWD: Up $1,000 to $49,990 (approx. RMB 341,000). • Model Y Performance AWD: Up $500 to $57,990. • Base RWD and AWD: Prices unchanged at $39,990 and $41,990 respectively (approx. RMB 273,000 and 287,000, excluding incentives and options). This selective pricing strategy focuses on higher-margin configurations while preserving the competitiveness of volume-selling entry-level models. The move is widely interpreted as rational gross margin management. Tesla’s automotive gross margin has declined from over 25% in early 2023 to below 18% in mid-2025, and this small price adjustment helps restore profitability without broadly impacting sales volume. At the same time, the 2026 Model Y brings product upgrades: new body color options for higher trims and becoming the first Tesla model to pass the latest NHTSA advanced driver assistance testing. The price hike may also create pricing room for the upcoming refreshed Model Y (possibly codenamed “Juniper”), preventing direct overlap between old and new generations. In China, rumors of price increases for the Long Range and Performance versions were quickly denied by Tesla, and domestic prices remain stable without following the U.S. move. Other global markets like South Korea and Canada have seen selective discounts or import optimizations, reflecting Tesla’s flexible global pricing approach: repairing margins in the U.S. while defending market share in highly competitive regions like China and Asia. Why raise prices now? Tesla is no longer purely a “price war machine.” As high-margin growth drivers such as Robotaxi, FSD subscriptions, and energy storage gradually scale, the automotive business needs a healthier profit structure. Rising supply chain costs amid U.S. inflation also support this modest adjustment. Compared with past aggressive multi-thousand-dollar cuts, this 1-2% tweak signals a shift toward a more mature automaker mindset—from aggressive volume expansion to sustainable profitability. Overall, the impact on consumers is limited: entry-level buyers still get great value, while mid-to-high-end customers pay a few thousand dollars more for enhanced configurations and potential upgrades. For investors, this marks a positive step in Tesla’s transition from “sales-first” to “profit + technology-first,” especially alongside recent delivery recovery and AI progress. Tesla’s pricing moves always spark discussion. What do you think of this small U.S. Model Y price increase? Does it signal the end of the price war, or is it just short-term margin repair? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments! @Tesla @elonmusk

Interesting take! Totally agree—this feels like Tesla maturing into a more balanced automaker: protecting margins on higher-trim models without killing volume on the entry-level ones. After years of deep price cuts to grab market share, a modest 1-2% bump (mostly on the profitable configs) is smart margin repair, especially with rising supply chain costs and new features like the fresh colors and strong NHTSA ADAS scores. The China decision makes perfect sense too—competition there is brutal, so holding prices steady to defend volume is the right call. This U.S.-specific move looks like a targeted response to local inflation and cost pressures rather than a global shift. As for Europe, I’d bet we see something similar but lighter—maybe selective hikes or fewer discounts on Long Range/Performance variants, depending on local incentives and competition from BYD, VW, etc. Tesla has been pretty agile with regional pricing lately. Overall, this is a healthy sign. Volume at all costs is giving way to sustainable profitability + tech focus (FSD, Robotaxi, energy). Excited to see how Juniper lands. What’s your prediction for the next big pricing move?

Interesting analysis! This modest price adjustment feels like a smart, mature move by Tesla—protecting margins on higher-trim models while keeping entry-level variants competitive. After years of aggressive price cuts to drive volume, it’s a clear signal that Tesla is shifting toward sustainable profitability, especially as FSD, Robotaxi, and energy storage become bigger growth drivers. The timing makes sense too: inflation in the supply chain, improved product (new colors + strong NHTSA ADAS results), and creating pricing headroom for the Juniper refresh. Smart not to follow the hike in China where competition remains fierce. Overall, this seems more like “margin repair + strategic positioning” than the end of price competitiveness. Entry buyers still get excellent value. What do you think — will we see similar selective hikes in Europe next, or is this mostly a U.S.-specific move to offset local cost pressures? #Tesla #ModelY

⚡ #Tesla #Cybertruck #FSD

Absolutely spot on! Tesla’s intelligent BMS is pure engineering brilliance — active cell balancing, predictive thermal management, and continuous OTA optimizations keep even 13-year-old packs at ~90% health. That’s why early Model S owners are still crushing it on the road while others fade. Software-defined longevity at its best! ⚡🚀 Thanks for the great breakdown! #Tesla

Absolutely agree! Tesla’s BMS is one of the most underrated pieces of engineering in the entire EV industry. The combination of active cell balancing, predictive thermal management, and over-the-air updates that continuously refine charging/discharging behavior is why 10–13-year-old Teslas can still deliver such impressive battery health. It’s not just hardware — it’s software-defined longevity. Most other EVs from that era are already struggling, while early Model S and X owners are still enjoying strong range. This is exactly why Tesla’s real-world data keeps widening the gap. Great thread! ⚡🚀 #Tesla #BatteryTech
