How to ensure FSD takes your preferred route This may be obvious to some, but this is something I use everyday when I am driving home… normally FSD takes the “wrong” way home, so I used to have to disengage everytime and re engage FSD once I was on the proper road… but this little trick fixes that. Hope this is useful to at least one person!

17 June 2026 Giga Texas VIDEO … I’m back from Europe & Giga Berlin! Cybercab production continues & Model Y production going strong too, with several in the new shades of blue! The 4680 battery cell portion of the factory was getting concrete delivered inside where I’ve observed demolition & expansion work underway! The Test track has had more work on it including paint marks, dedicated lanes w/ dividers & a Cybercab testing office! Cortex 2 ‘spart 2 chiller system fan tower seems nearly completed structurally, while more pipes, vale’s & wrapped items remain to be installed. Finally, the N Optimus factory shows significant work with steel erection (up to 4 floors), GeoPier work on the N end, grade work on the S end, land reclamation on the extreme S & footing construction in the middle. Typical Dan O’Dowd taking what FSD did here completely out of context. This is OUR clip, and in the original post we stated: “…seems as if the little one on the side of the road pointing at the skidmarks on the road really alarmed FSD, quite a swerve.” It avoided a child.

Back from Europe and testing out FSD 14.3.4 on my way to fly this morning. Lots of progress with smoothness, perceiving the environment & moving through with confidence so far. But, still struggles with detecting speed limits & selecting appropriate driving speed on all kinds of roads. I’m increasingly convinced FSD is held back by a navigation and speed database & speed selection. I hope there are efforts on these two fronts … when this is “solved” then FSD will win over even the most skeptical of drivers/passengers. Great progress, but more to come.

A Model Y driver started experiencing a medical emergency with chest pain mid-drive & called his son. His son then remotely rerouted the car – which had FSD Supervised enabled – to the nearest hospital & let them know the vehicle was en route. ER staff were standing by on arrival. Doctors later confirmed the quick reroute likely saved his life.
