@Tess17514 No, but I do think Ram plays a role in her decision not to run. As well as Subaru's love for Emilia. Rem is a smart girl, imo. She knows Subaru would eventually regret it if they went through with it

Rem running away with Subaru doesn't work in the main story because, while she loves Subaru, it's been established she puts Ram above all else. It's a consistent character trait, and exactly why her running away is an IF scenario

@Re__styx What she proved she wasn't, was giving up that future so Subaru could become a better person, If it were up to Subaru, the story would have ended; it brought out the best in him when he didn't even know he still existed

@Re__styx I don't think it needs to be that deep here, Tappei likes to create extra stories ALL time, the conflict in these choices doesn't need to be very profound, it just needs to happen, but people get mistaken because of this, thinking that Rem is always lenient with Subaru

Gooning to anime characters feels much more satisfying when you have an emotional attachment to them

@Re__styx He loves Rem, that's explicit in the LN, and he doesn't choose Rem to run away with for no reason, they have children together in IF timeline, and saying more would be a spoiler, but this is not even a question a long time i guarantee it!

Personal theory of mine is that Subaru already had a crush on Rem by the time the loops in 15 started, and after seeing her die so many times, realized he liked her a lot more than he initially realized
