@dylanhjm As a mother.. I one hundred percent agree. I don't wan't to go out on a child-free night and be met by children. I also do not want to ruin someone else's experience with my kids. In a perfect world there would be pubs / cafes/ flights that were all kids-free and vice versa.

Lots of ~discourse~ around this, and let me just say that screaming kids are the bane of my life. I went to A WINE TASTING recently and someone brought their toddler who was allowed to run around shouting, banging things, causing general disruption. Kid-free areas should exist.

Finally deleted the LinkedIn app off my phone. I used to think it was the only “acceptable” social during work hours but I’ve been working for myself (and mostly at home) for two years - it’s a hellhole on par with Facebook. (And you’re better off using Google for job searches)

@areej_abuali Sometimes I end up at the baby cinema because it’s the only one on during ‘the daytime’ and I think “This feels counterproductive” (even if I don’t have a baby with me)

When people ask me why I choose to work for myself, this is my answer: I can go to the cinema during the work week while my baby is in nursery

I've just cut ties with a long-term client whose values and projects don't align with me and my business anymore. Always feels counter-intuitive to let a client go, but when every interaction puts you in a bad mood, it's time to let go.
